How many hours have you spent developing Magento modules? Too many, probably. And what if you could “invest” those many hours in developing and customizing a better business logic within Magento, through the simple use of PHP hooks on Magento-Events?
Well, here comes the time you are now free on focusing on what really counts: business logic. You can now achieve the same customization results in a fraction of the time it takes to develop a module, because you don’t have to develop a module anymore. You can now manage events through hooks in a very simple way. It just takes the installation of the Fasemo Magento-Events Manager and your approach to Magento programming will take a new turn.
Magento uses a fantastic event hooking system, following the well known Observer Design Pattern, allowing additional functionality to be plugged in and out without modifying the core code. We have developed the module that makes this hooking system easy to manage.
Once you have installed the Magento-Events Manager module, you just need to develop new hooks, instead of developing new modules and our goal is to create a community where subscribers will be able to access and/or offer thousands of ready-to-copy hooks. This will fast-forward Magento to new heights, confirming it as the best Ecommerce Platform for Growth.
Keep checking back on our web site as we will be adding new hooks.
Hooks we are currently working on:
- Administrator failed login notification (completed, code available in the instalaltion manual)
- Google AdWords tracking
- Forwarding to different store based on IP Geolocation
- More flexible and customizide promotions on the shopping cart
- Price list (instead of price tiers)
- Private sale by customer group or customer
- Different checkout conditions by customer group or customer
- Various notification based on sales process events (abandoned shopping cart notification, new sale etc.)
Please contact us for any suggestion.
AND REMEMBER, YOU CAN DO YOUR OWN HOOK TOO WITHOUT ANY MAGENTO PROGRAMMING REQUIRED. IT'S JUST A FEW PHP LINES.
